Prague tries out new electric bus – this time SOR
The SOR electric bus, with Cegelec electrical equipment, is in service on line 216 until 11th February, the same as a previous electric bus tested by Prague Transport Company (DPP) two weeks ago.

Slight Increase in Car Accidents in Prague
“There were in total 18,500 car accidents in Prague last year and resulted in 29 deaths. Damage amounted to one milliard crowns. Compared to 2012 the number of people who died increased slightly, however, it is the second best result in Prague history,” stated Zdeněk Bezouška, a Deputy Chief of Prague Police.

From January 22nd to 26th, Praguers can try out an electrobus bearing the colours of Vienna Public Transit Company on route no. 216. Passengers travel for free. What is more, it reinforces the regular operation.

Take Nostalgic Bus Ride to Poděbrady
The 85th anniversary of the bus connection between Prague and Poděbrady will be celebrated on Saturday 25th January. The first bus left Prague on 15th January 1929. It was a Czechoslovak National Railway connection between Poděbrady spa and Náměstí Republiky, Prague. Today, a similar route is taken by bus no. 398.

Prague Progress to New Parking Zones
The new parking zone system, except the existing zones in Prague 1, 2, 3, 7, and part of Prague 16, is gradually becoming a reality. The first changes will appear this year. According to a Deputy Mayor Mr Jiří Nouza, the pilot projects could be launched in August and September and the new system will then be initiated from the beginning of 2015.
