Other traffic restrictions will apply after the closure. The closure is scheduled for July 4th to 14th and it will entail many traffic restrictions. During that time, Blanka will be connected to the Strahov Tunnel control station and the roads in Malovanka will be adjusted.

“During the works, while the two systems will be interconnected, no traffic and safety technologies will be available in Strahov Tunnel, including the camera system, which is necessary for traffic safety in order to prevent or eliminate emergencies in the tunnel. Without this equipment the operation of the tunnel could not be considered safe, this is why the tunnel will be completely closed,“ said the Deputy Mayor of Prague Petr Dolínek who added that the dates have been chosen with regard to the beginning of the summer holiday and the public holiday, when there is usually less traffic.

Suggested diversion in both directions goes via the following streets: Plzeňská/Vrchlického – Kukulova – Bělohorská – Patočkova and it will be properly marked.
