“The new website offers help to choose the cheapest ticket to suit passenger´s needs when travelling in Prague as well as the Central Czech PID zones. The new calculator tool sums up the cheapest option and can be used by residents as well as visitors,” explained Mr Pavel Procházka a head of the ROPID.

The new web mainly provides information about fares and special offers available in Prague and its surrounding area. It is interactive and based on three parameters to find particular information about the prices or discounts. There are many comments and links to the PID articles to ensure the information is accessible to everybody.

Tariff calculator

Passengers often ask whether to purchase a ticket pass or just a ticket. The PID system may seem complicated and difficult to decide on the right fare especially when it includes certain discounts.

The calculator provides clues on the cheapest fare based on information about the length and time of a journey. It also shows a particular ticket sale point. Customers also get a comparison of fare prices to assist in deciding on whether to choose a ticket pass or not.
