Operation between the stations Budějovická and Kačerov will be ensured on one track with a special metro train.

Substitute transport

In the daytime, a substitute bus XC will operate on the route Hlavní nádraží – Muzeum – I. P. Pavlova – Vyšehrad – Pražského povstání – Pankrác – Budějovická – Kačerov. The bus stop Kačerov for buses nos.114, 189 and 215 will be moved forward into bus 106 stop (via Nemocnice Krč).

Passenger information

Several types of information leaflets will be distributed, in total around 25, 000 leaflets. They will be available at the stands at metro stations, as well as on surface transport vehicles or information notice boards at the metro stations.

On Friday between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. , approximately 25 informative employees in reflective waistcoats will be at hand in the area of the closed stations, ready to help passengers (not only in Czech but also in English) with advice on how to get to your destination.

The employees will also have the above mentioned information leaflets for passengers.

From 20th October 2014, an announcement at metro stations will also draw people’s attention to the upcoming closure and the announcements will continue throughout the closure. Local information will be available on approximately 80 information boards with a schematic plan and basic written information in Czech, English and German.

Other metro closures:

Line A between Depo Hostivař and Náměstí Míru – closed on the long weekend of 15t. – 17th November 2014.

Line A between Staroměstská and Dejvická will be closed on Saturday 1st November 2014 (approximately from 9:30 p.m. until the end of the daily operation of the metro).
