Between the days of 1st and 3rd November 2013 and 8th and 10th November 2013, the operation of metro line C will be suspended in both directions between the stations Kačerov - Háje. On both occasions, the suspension will start at about 6:45 p.m. and end at midnight on Sunday. The last metro train before the beginning of the suspension will leave Háje metro station at 6:57 p.m and in the opposite direction, it will leave Muzeum metro station at 6:36 p.m.

11 railroad switches left to be replaced

There are 43 railroad switches on metro line C, out of which 21 are laid in the gravel bed. So far the following switches have been replaced: four at Florenc, two at I. P. Pavlova and two at Kačerov. After the scheduled replacement of the two switches at Háje, there will be eleven switches left to be replaced on line C.

“Replacement works will take place gradually and always on one track only. Other renovation works will be carried out on the gravel beds, insulation and drainage,” said the Director General of the PPTC, Jaroslav Ďuriš.

Substitute buses XC

For the duration of the suspension, a substitute bus operation will be set up in the daytime with the following stops: Kačerov, Roztyly, Dědinova, Chodov, Jarníkova, Na Jelenách, U Dálnice, Opatov, Bachova, Mikulova, Hněvkovského, Modrá škola, Háje, Horčičkova, Jižní Město.

Barrier-free option

Passengers who make use of wheelchair accessible transport in the area of Jižní Město can travel by bus no. 170 from Budějovická metro station. All buses of route 170 will be ensured by low-floor buses. Kačerov stop for routes 114, 189 and 215 in the direction of Nemocnice Krč will be relocated to the 106 bus stop.

Approximately 40 information boards will be located in the vicinity of the closed metro stations with basic information about the closure and substitute transport XC. The texts on the boards will also be in English and German. On the busiest spots, trained employees in waistcoats with the PPTC logo will also provide any information related to the suspension.
