Great help to tourists and Prague residents

“Compared to the ticket sale places situated at metro stations, the centres offer a wider range of services. Passengers will obtain complex information and advice regarding Prague integrated transport here, also in English and at least one other foreign language. Apart from information on prices and connections, people will also be assisted in non-standard situations here,” said Tomáš Hudeček, the Mayor of Prague. It includes, for instance, locating a delayed connection or assistance with the search for belongings left behind on public transport.

Ticket sale and all the information about public transport

The centre will also enable passengers to buy single-journey tickets, the full range of tickets available to be downloaded on an Opencard, printed timetables or commemorative publications about Prague public transport. Public transport network maps and information about tariffs, permanent and temporary changes are available for passengers free of charge.

Information centre was needed

“By opening an information centre at the busy Main train station, the Public transit company meets the needs of international and domestic clients who arrive in our city by train. These people in particular use public transport to travel around Prague,” said Jaroslav Ďuriš, the CEO of PPTC.

In the heart of Europe and in the heart of travelling

The centres are mostly situated at important interchange junctions of Prague public transport and other places with a high level of passenger traffic. At the moment, PPTC operates six Transport Information Centres – at Muzeum and Anděl metro stations, Škoda Palace and both terminals at Václav Havel Airport Prague. The information centre at the Main train station has been added with the opening hours from 7:00 to 21:00 daily. International trains from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Poland, Slovakia and Russia terminate at Prague Main train station as well as internal express trains SC Pendolino of Czech Railways, RegioJet and LEO Express.
