No Trams between Lazarská and Jindřišská until End of June (Portal of Prague)

From Saturday 26th April, Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) will be carrying out maintenance works on the tram track in the area Lazarská – Jindřišská. As a result, trams will not be operating and road transport will be restricted in streets Lazarská, Vodičkova and Jindřišská. Repair works are divided into several stages but all works should finish on 28th June.

Tram closure and restriction for cars

Trams will not operate in both directions between Lazarská and Jindřišská from Saturday 26th April (about 0.30 a.m.) to Saturday 28th June 2014 (about 0.30 a.m.). Restriction will also influence car transport in this area. Closures will take into account trade supply and they will influence the areas in Spálená – Palackého and Wenceslas Squares – Senovážné Square. Advisors assisting which way to go

Prague Public Transport Company prepared about 20 thousand information leaflets for passengers. As of 25th April, the company will inform passengers about the changes via the metro information system. During first days, Roure advisors will be assisting people on the most busy places of the route. Prague Public Transport Company recommends passengers to use the metro for the central part of the city.

New line 29

As part of the changes, tram lines n.3, 9, 14 and 24 will be changed and a new tram line n. 29 will be introduced partially replacing the n. 3 and 9 lines. Changes will also affect night buses n. 504, 505, 509 and 511, which will get new stops.

Replacement transport and tram lines changes on following routes:

3 In the direction from Nádraží Braník from the temporary stop Lazarská (in Spálena Street) it continues as the line 9 to Sídliště Řepy

9 In the direction from Sídliště Řepy from the temporary stop Lazarská (in Spálena Street) it continues as the line 3 to Nádraží Braník

14 In the direction from Sídliště Barrandov continues from the stop Myslíkova via stops: Karlovo náměstí, Moráň, Palackého náměstí to the stop Zborovská and back to Barrandov.

24 In the direction from Kubánského náměstí continues from the stop Karlovo náměstí via stops Lazarská (temporary set i. Spálena Street), Národní třída, Staroměstská, Právnická fakulta, Čechův most, Náměstí Republiky, Bílá Labuť, Vltavská, Dělnická, Nádraží Holešovice to the stop Výstaviště Holešovice, where it terminates.
