Pre-holiday timetables have been online already and the holiday period timetables will be published on the ROPID website two weeks before the holiday starts.

Pre-holiday period: 16th June – 27th June 2014

This is the time when university students finish their academic year, employed people start taking their annual leave, schools and colleges organise trips, and overall, the public transport becomes less busy. Trams and buses have slightly longer intervals during afternoon peak hours as a consequence. This change, however, does not affect the operation of the metro, buses or trams (except the lines which provide transport for students). This is a difference to the last year’s intervention that resulted in longer intervals of the metro and included the morning peak hours.

Trams

Arterial lines no. 3, 9, 17, 22 and 29 will have their interval reaching 5 minutes on weekdays and during the afternoon peak hours. Other lines will operate in 10-minute intervals. The rest of timetables remain unaffected.

Buses

Some lines will have longer afternoon intervals - lines 102, 106, 108, 109, 110, 118, 124, 125, 131, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, 143, 144, 150, 152, 157, 158, 163, 165, 167, 170, 174, 177, 179, 180, 181, 183, 185, 186, 188, 189, 191, 193, 195, 196, 197, 200, 201, 202, 205, 213, 214, 215, 223, 225, 235, 250, 253, 263, and 273.

Line 170 will have some extra support on route Brumlovka – Budějovická in order to provide efficient transport to the administrative centre in Brumlovka. On the other hand, the line 193 will be reduced due to extra lines on route Volha – Chodov. Mainly they provide services to students of the University of Economics who have just finished their summer semester. Other lines used by the students such as no. 107, 143, 147 and 176 will reduce their operation even throughout other parts of a day.

Holiday period: 28th June – 31st August 2014

Changes to the running of the services during summer holiday are going to be less severe than those in the last year. For example, the weekend intervals of buses and the metro will practically remain the same.

Metro

Intervals will be longer by 1 to 2 minutes on weekdays.

Trams

Lines no. 2, 4, 6, and 13 will not operate. The arterial lines no. 3, 9, 17, and 22 will have longer intervals (from 4 to 5 minutes) during peak hours and a 6-minute interval in the afternoon. Other lines will run in a 10-minute interval during peak hours and a 12-minute interval in the afternoon, as usual. Line no. 11 will only operate on route Spořilov – Olšany Cemetry (therefore extension lines will not reach Spojovací during the peak hours), and line no. 16 will only operate on Lehovec – Kotlářka. Some major tram track repairs will impact on running of tram services on routes: Braník Station – Sídliště Modřany (trams no. 3 and 17 affected), Průběžná – Hostivař Station (trams 22 and 26), Malovanka – Bílá Hora (trams 22 and 25), and Charles Square (some central lines).

Buses

The school buses and lines no. 305, 343, 451 and 465 will not operate during summer holiday. Most Prague bus lines will have longer intervals during peak hours and this means running every 7.5 minutes in the mornings and 10 minutes in the afternoons.

Trains

PIT trains will run in the same way as usual. There are no restrictions during the summer holiday.
