New Railway Station in Hostivař

Hostivař station is part of the modernization of the railway network which connects the Main Station via České Budějovice to Austria. The existing railway station will serve a different purpose.

The construction budget is nearly 979 million CZK and it covers a new dispatcher’s building and two platforms. It should be supported with the EU funds from the Operational Programme Transport.

The next project will focus on modernization of the connections in the direction from the Main Station towards Vinohrady Tunnel, where the not much used Strašnice station will close down and new stations Eden and Zahradní Město will be built.
