Changes underway at Prague’s international airport promise to make parking more accessible and better organised. “Individual car-parks have been given new names,” says airport spokesperson Marika Janoušková. “Car-park “D” has been renamed “Holiday”, car-park “A” is now called “Smart”, and car-park “C” at terminal 1 is now known as “Comfort”.”

The lowest parking fee applies in the Holiday car-park, which is about ten minutes’ walk, or one stop by bus, from the terminal, and costs 790 CZK for 8 days. Although this is 40 CZK more than before, drivers are promised more accessible parking than at present. It will no longer be necessary to reserve a parking space well in advance, as had become the case in the old “D” carpark.

The parking fee in the “Smart” car-park is 990 CZK for 10 days, while drivers will pay 1290 CZK for the same period in the “Comfort” car-park.

The fees are payable on reservation via the new website www.aeroparking.cz, the cost of short-stay parking in car-parks “B” and “C” remain at 50 CZK per hour, while a short-stay of up to 15 mins is still free of charge.
