    Prague City Council has recently approved for the city of Prague to participate in the organisation of the 1st International Congress for the Governance of AI (ICGAI/ Prague 2020). The subject of the congress will be the regulation and ethics of artificial intelligence.

    At a press conference held following the meeting of the State Security Council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomáš Petříček said that the infection of Czech citizens and fellow citizens abroad has not yet been confirmed. He asks Czech citizens to register in the Drozd system, at: https://drozd.mzv.cz , before travelling abroad, so they can be contacted if necessary.
  • Feb 23, 2020 Traffic measures on the Malešická Street
    From the 24th of February to the end of July 2020, Malešická Street in Prague 10 will be closed to public and private transport between the intersection with K Červenému dvoru Street and the intersection with Olgy Havlové Street due to major reconstructions in this section.
  • Feb 21, 2020 Traffic measures on the Vršovická and Otakarova roads
    From the 22nd of February 2020, transport measures will be introduced due to ongoing reconstruction works on railway bridges across Vršovická and Otakarova streets for the optimization of Prague Hostivař - Prague Main Railway Station. The transport measures will take place in two stages.

    The leaders of the Integrated Rescue System and other bodies met in Prague City Hall in order to discuss and exchange information on preparations for potential occurrences of coronavirus in Prague.
  • Jan 29, 2020 PID Lítačka travel card extended by three years
    PID Lítačka Prague city transport cards, which were first issued in 2016, are set to expire this year. However, the company ICT Operator and Prague City Hall decided to automatically extend the card validity by three years. Therefore, passengers whose cards were due to expire this year will be capable of travelling with Lítačka around Prague and Prague Central Bohemia until 2023.
  • Jan 27, 2020 The Chapel of St. Cross on Petřín Hill underwent a complete reconstruction
    The Municipal Environmental Protection Department of Prague City Hall was responsible for the completion of the reconstruction of the Chapel of St. Cross on Petřín Hill. The chapel, which was damaged by leaking water, is close to Petřín Tower Park Cross. The cost of the repairs was CZK 2.8 million.
  • Jan 14, 2020 Prague Zoo starts a collection to help Australian fauna
    On Monday, the 6th of January, Prague Zoo announced that they have started a collection to help the Australian fauna threatened by fires. Over one million CZK has already been collected. 160,000 CZK of this, which comes from the “Three Crowns of Entry Fee” project, has already headed to the Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund managed by Zoos Victoria, after being approved by Prague City Council on the 10th of January.
