Important notice

The Environmental Protection Department of Prague City Hall was in charge of repairing a neglected part of Květnice Garden, costing 2.8 million CZK. The garden is part of Petřín Park (Petřínské sady) and is located above Nebozízek in the proximity of the Rose Orchard (Růžový sad).

The revitalisation of the western part of Central Park in Chodov, Prague 11, carried out by ‘Lesy hl. m. Prahy’ (Prague City Forests) since spring 2018, was completed recently.

From the end of September, a campaign is taking place in the streets of Prague that will focus on the rules and regulations tourists need to follow in the Czech capital. The campaign is organised by Prague City Tourism in cooperation with the Night Mayor Jan Štern. It will focus on the behaviour of tourists in the most problematic parts of the town. Next year, it will be followed up by a long-term campaign that will specifically target tourists, thanks to the results of the STEM / MARK agency's survey on the behaviour of tourists in Prague at night.

From the 25th of July at 4:30am to the 25th of August 2019, the underpass from Švehlova to Průběžná will be completely closed for all forms of transport, including pedestrians.

Prague has a number of artificial and natural swimming areas, two of which are quite unique.

The extensive reconstruction of the Negrelli Viaduct, the second oldest bridge in Prague, will be followed by the transformation of the bridge’s surrounding area, including the space beneath it. According to the proposal recently approved by Prague City Council, a new creative space with cafes, a library, and/or a summer theatre space could be developed under the viaduct.

From the 15th to the 28th of June 2019, the operation of tram lines in Prague 17, Řepy, will be partially interrupted due to the replacement of parts of the tracks in the Prague 17 district.

In the future, so-called water trams might also be added to the ferries on the Vltava River.
