    Recently, two flocks of sheep and goats have been grazing in and around Prague’s green areas. The third flock will be added soon, and all three flocks will graze in the selected locations until October.

  • Mar 17, 2019 Traffic restrictions on ‘Štěrboholská spojka’
    From the 18th of March, traffic on the link road ‘Štěrboholská spojka’ will be restricted.
  • Mar 8, 2019 Traffic restrictions on Vinohradská Avenue
    On Saturday, the 9th of March 2019, the reconstruction of the tram line on Vinohradská Avenue will begin on the stretch from Škrétova Street to Sudoměřská Street. The expected completion date is the 12th of July 2019. Trams will not operate in the I. P. Pavlova - Muzeum - Flora section, and buses will provide alternative routes. Road traffic will only be maintained in the direction from the city centre from Legerova Street to Jiřího z Poděbrad Square. In the next part of Vinohradská Avenue, as well as in the direction to the city centre, the following diversions and alternative routes are proposed:
  • Mar 5, 2019 Funicular to Petřín closed for maintenance
    From Monday the 4th to Friday the 15th of March 2019, the funicular from Újezd to Petřín will be out of operation due to regular spring maintenance.
  • Feb 26, 2019 Transport restrictions in Českobrodská Street
    The current road works on a 300-metre-long stretch on Českobrodská Street will continue until the end of June and the necessary traffic restrictions are in place. The area under reconstruction runs through Běchovice. The traffic restrictions affect the stretch on Českobrodská Street from Do Říčan Street to Dolnopočernická Street. The work will be done in two stages - the first on the northern half of the road, and the second on the southern half. Access will only be granted to the emergency services, Prague City buses, residents, and suppliers. Other vehicles must have permission to access the area.

    The Map of Accessibility has been making life easier not only for people with reduced mobility but also for seniors and parents with prams since 2016. Currently, detailed and regularly updated information on barrier-free accessibility for more than 1 100 buildings and public spaces in the City of Prague can be found on the map.
  • Feb 10, 2019 More events to support the development of Prague’s quays
    This year, the capital plans to continue renewing the quays. The Prague Councillor for Property, Jan Chabr, wants to support more public events for children and families, during the winter as well as the summer. For example, on Saturday 2nd February, traditional farmers’ markets will start on Rašínovo nábřeží quay. Jan Chabr would like to see similar events take place.
