Flood Gate Closes on the Čertovka
Although Prague is not under any significant threat, with regard to recent intense downpours the City Council is taking precautions against the possibility of high water. From Friday Prague’s waterway will be at level 1 of flood activity.

Radio Free Europe Relocated to Hagibor
Today, Radio Free Europe moved to its new headquarters on Hagibor Plain on the outskirts of Prague. The Mayor of Prague, Pavel Bém, as well as a number of other politicians were present at the opening ceremony.

Young Man Lashing Out a Bar at the Astronomical Clock
Shortly before ten o’clock in the morning, a young man standing on a ladder in front of the Astronomical Clock started lashing out a bar that he held in his hand. Police officers appeared in a few minutes to restore order.

Astronomical Clock Damaged by an Unknown Vandal
The Statue of the Astronomer on the Astronomical Clock in Prague has been damaged by an unknown vandal. The police say that it happened between the 27th and 29th April.

The Water Rescue Service has offered Prague a project that includes 30 notice boards warning of the dangers and risks to be placed around Prague.
