“We always pay a lot of attention to zebra crossings near schools at the beginning and at the end of the school year,” says the chief of Prague Municipal Police Vladimír Kotrouš. Officers will supervise some 60 more zebra crossings than they usually do, the Police of the CR will then ensure safety at another 10 crossings.

The supervision from Monday to Wednesday will be carried out by over 240 police officers mostly between 7 and 8 a.m. and 12 to 2 p.m. On Thursday the supervision will be ensured between 7 and 10 a.m.

During the whole week, the police have been checking bars, gambling rooms, restaurants and other places where the youth could get or drink alcohol.
