A moment with the night sky
Take a moment to look up at the night sky. Check out the planetarium’s YouTube channel, where the new section, ‘A moment with the night sky’ will keep you updated with what’s going on up there.
You will learn about what you can currently see in the night sky, including the Moon, Venus and the Aldebaran star. You will also find out how to recognise UFOs and other flying objects. Live inputs directly from the field supplement the videos. Spring is a great time for stargazing, where the skies are full of interesting stars, planets and other objects.
Space lessons for children
You can refresh your knowledge of astronomy with your children with the show ‘On a trip to space’. Astronauts will teach you essential information about themes such as the solar system, stars, star clusters, nebulae and distant galaxies.
Play a virtual memory game together or download an astronomical colouring book to treat children after their learning. The time at home will fly by with all these fun activities!
