Do you want to be reminded of old customs that are traditionally linked to the Christmas season? The Botanical Gardens is set up exactly like Christmas in the time of our great-grandparents. Hundreds of ornaments based on folk traditions will amaze you. You will also see the magic of Christmas from old postcards.

The exhibition is a charming experience that will bring you joy and a feeling of well-being.

What is there to see at the exhibition?

There is a lot to see at the exhibition, aside from various ornaments. There are also antique nativity scenes in various designs, as well as fairy-tale figurines and other beautiful and diverse artworks made and curated by the exhibition organisers. Inquisitive minds will enjoy guided tours through the entire exhibition with eye-catching interpretations of our predecessors’ habits and traditions.

This year's specialties

The exhibition centrepiece this year is a unique nativity scene from 1912 with a grand total of 170 figures. Another interesting main feature is an original, paper nativity scene made by scouts in 1947.

And to make the exhibition even better, there is a three-metre-long advent calendar for the whole family!

The atmosphere is enriched, and made even more festive, with the scent of Christmas cookies. Evergreen trees decorated with ornaments made from natural materials will be all around you. In short, the exhibition will bring you back to the olden times.

The exhibition will be open until the 1st of January 2020. It is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
