Inspired by a film

The creators were inspired by ‘The Way Things Go’ (German: ‘Der Lauf der Dinge’), a 1987 Swiss art film by Peter Fischli and David Weiss. The 30-minute movie documents a long chain of everyday objects falling like dominos. Baumann and Henderson’s project further develops this study of the movement of objects and materials by bringing human bodies into the mix.

Czech influence on the production team

Apart from to the lead artists, Czech producers also took part in the project. Jakub Šťourač from the South Bohemian Švestkový Dvůr is responsible for music, and Jiří Šmirk, who collaborates with Miřenka Čechová, Tante Horse ensemble, and the South Bohemian Continuo Theatre, for light design.
