Siam Sinfonietta is one of the most exciting youth orchestras created in the last 10 years. The concert will be part of a tour, during which the orchestra will visit eight European cities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany.

Siam Sinfonietta

The selective scholarship ensemble brings together the most talented young instrumentalists between the ages of twelve and twenty-five. The members of the orchestra have been gathering experience and awards from around the world. They performed in various world-class concert halls such as New York's Carnegie Hall and Munich's Prinzregententheater, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Klementinum in Prague, Disney Hall in California, and Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The Prague concert programme will offer contemporary Thai music along with works from the twentieth century. However, Siam Sinfonietta will also perform music by famous classical music composers of the past, such as Mozart, Wagner and Dvořák.

Novoměstská filharmonie

Novoměstská filharmonie (Nové Město Philharmonic), an amateur youth orchestra from Nové Město nad Metují, will perform together with the Thai musicians in Bohuslav Martinů Hall in Liechtenstein Palace in Prague. They will perform in the first half of the evening, led by their conductor Jaroslav Rybáček.

Petr Zdvihal, the soloist and concert master of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra (Symfonický orchestr Českého rozhlasu), will also take part in the evening’s performance, playing the famous Gypsy Airs by Pablo de Sarasate.
