The company Kolumbus 92 from Lipník nad Bečvou built the 20-metre-long boat, called ‘Vltavan’. After a 300-kilometer journey by road to Prague, in September 2018, Cardinal D. Duka blessed the boat. Prague inhabitants had the opportunity to regularly sail the ‘šíf’ for several weeks in 2019. The boat was equipped with an engine for this occasion, whereas it used to sail downstream naturally with the current.

This year, between the 11thand 30th of August, the historic ‘šíf’ will depart from the small dock under the Palacký Bridge, next to the ‘Petra’ boat. The rides take place from 2pm to 6pm on weekdays, and from 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The last ride always starts at around 6pm.

Do not miss this unique opportunity to enjoy the view of Vyšehrad from the deck of a historic boat.
