If you have a sweet tooth, you should certainly not miss the ‘Sladký život na Andělu’ (’Sweet Life in Anděl') food festival on Wednesday, the 12th of February. The festival in the Anděl area in Prague's Smíchov district will please all lovers of sweet food with countless sweet treats, cakes, drinks and other sweet delicacies.

The sweetest stalls

Several dozen stalls in Smíchov will offer an inexhaustible selection of chocolates, coloured macaroons, Sicilian cannoli, Belgian truffles, American donuts, and British cookies; as well as various cakes, strudels and other sweet treats and desserts typical of Czech cuisine.

To make a good event even better, bartenders will mix great cocktails, and the best coffee will also be on offer, along with hot punch, mulled wine, real navy grog, hot chocolate, hot cocoa, and American milkshakes.

Accompanying programme

Sweet treats are not the only thing on the menu! Great music is also to be enjoyed during the food festival. And what is more suitable for such an event than French music?

For example, think about fashionable, colourful and delicious macaroons. Even though their basic recipe, without cream, originated in Italy, their taste and form were perfected in France. Thus, the perfect music accompaniment will be an acoustic trio with both rhythmic and tender music inspired by France - BAL LAB. Their songs in French, as well as their instrumental compositions, spiced up with a touch of jazz, will complete the event.

Come and enjoy ‘Sweet Life’, and do not forget to get some sweet St. Valentine's gifts for your loved ones while you’re there!
