The ‘Cesta za snem’ (‘Beyond Dreams’) association organises unique sports projects that connect almost all members of society. They create new experiences, new friendships, motivation, energy and new possibilities.

New project

One of the new projects is the ČEZ Handy Biathlon, which follows the six-year-long tradition of ČEZ Handy Quadrathlons. Once again, the aim is to connect all active people without discrimination, and to create a biathlon race for all members of the general public.

Categories and the race

Categories will be divided into men, women, men with special needs, women with special needs, and children (between 6 and 13 years of age).

There will be two competitors at the start. Time will be counted from beginning to end. Each participant will ski 1km cross-country ski over 5 laps, and during these 5 laps, they will stop at two points where they will shoot a rifle. For each missed target, 15 additional seconds will be added to the participant’s result. At the end of the race, the participant can try again to improve their time.

Each category’s two fastest competitors will race each other in the final battle for the gold medal.

All-weather event

What if there is no snow? The organisers are well prepared for this possibility. In the case of little or no snow, the race will take place on cross-country skiing simulators, and the shooting will take place in the electronic biathlon shooting range. So, you can enjoy the race in any weather!

You can register directly at the event, or in the comfort of your home on the event’s website www.cestazasnem.cz, where you will instantly receive your start number.

The symbolic starting fee of 100 CZK per race will go in full to a transparent collection fund ‘Cesta za snem’ (Road to a Dream’), which supports sport for children with disabilities, as part of the upcoming project ‘Lvice 2020’ (‘Lioness 2020’).
