Prague one of the world leaders in hosting conventions

The year 2024 once again confirmed Prague’s status as one of the most attractive cities for hosting international conventions. According to the ranking of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Prague took fifth place globally and fourth within Europe, beating out such renowned cities as Paris, Madrid and London.

According to the data of the Prague Convention Bureau and Czech Statistical Office, the Czech capital hosted a total of 5 139 events of various kinds last year, which marks a year-on-year increase of 5.1 %. These events attracted more than 804 000 delegates from around the world.

Prague also achieved considerable success in specific sectors. It placed fifth worldwide in the number of medical conventions, climbing to fourth place for the field of technologically oriented events.

The city thus continues to affirm its position as one of the leading hubs of global convention tourism.
