19.8.2019 — The exhibition, entitled 'Jenda Rajman's Camera' ('Fotoaparátem Jendy Rajmana'), that is on in Invalidovna, Prague, documents Czech participation on the Italian front during the First World War.

30.11.2019 — The Christmas tree in Prague Zoo will officially be lit up on Sunday, the 1st of December. Advent in Prague Zoo will be dedicated to producing presents for the animals.

29.6.2020 — Střelecký Island ('Střelecký ostrov' or simply 'Střelák' to the locals) in the heart of Prague not only offers scenic views of Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, and romantic walks in the shade of mature trees, but has also become a place for free outdoor public dancing in recent years. Many dance programmes and workshops take place on a pontoon that has been anchored to the island for several years, offering an additional stage and dance floor. Dancing is a pleasant social activity, as well as a manifestation of emotions. It is an art form, which brings the pleasure of moving to music to everyone, both spectators and dancers, whether they dance alone, in pairs or in groups.

15.7.2020 — The mayors of the V4 capitals have signed an open letter to the German Chancellor Angela Merkel in which they extended their congratulations to Germany's Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Mayors have also expressed their commitment to the European Green Deal and the need for significantly increased direct green urban funding in the EU's next Multiannual Financial Framework.

4.12.2019 — From the 5th to the 8th of December, Lucerna and Ponrepo cinemas in Prague will offer audiences a large selection of Asian action films full of martial arts during the new annual Filmasia festival. The festival is entering its fifteenth season this year. It has brought great Asian films to Prague since 2005.

30.11.2019 — Two exhibitions start in Smíchov cultural centre on the 27th of November. They are 'Manifesto' by an art collective called 'Class of Interpretation', and 'Inwald' by Ondřej Vicena.

9.9.2019 — Pražští radní podpořili financování projektové přípravy a částečnou realizaci cest pro cyklisty a pěší na severovýchodě Prahy. Městské části Praha 14, Praha 18, Praha 19, Praha 20, Praha-Čakovice, Praha-Satalice a Praha-Vinoř vyprojektují, jak jednoduchými úpravami polních cest a cest třetí třídy propojit stávající cyklostezky v ucelený a komplexní systém cest nejen pro kola.

9.9.2019 — Pražští radní podpořili financování projektové přípravy a částečnou realizaci cest pro cyklisty a pěší na severovýchodě Prahy. 30.11.2018 — Hlavní město Praha zvítězilo ve druhém ročníku národní soutěže Chytrá města pro budoucnost celkem ve třech kategoriích. Projekty města navíc zcela dominovaly soutěži, která oceňuje řešení přispívající k rozvoji konceptu chytrých měst v České republice.

24.9.2019 — Language diversity will be celebrated on the 26th of September. In Prague, you can take part in linguistic games in Campus Hybernská and Lucerna Gallery.

23.6.2008 — Vyúčtování provozu zón placeného stání v Městských částech Praha 1, 2, 3, 7 a v MČ Praha 16 v roce 2007 projednala dnes městská rada. Podle schválených pravidel správce zón převádí hl. m. Praze měsíčně příjmy z jejich provozování a hl. m. Praha hradí správci měsíčně smluvní cenu jeho služeb, která vzešla z veřejné zakázky. Celkem příjmy města představovaly 139,14 mil. korun, náklady 11,54 mil. korun.

31.1.2006 — Memoranda o spolupráci na zpracování územního plánu Bagdádu a územního plánu Basry byla podepsána v loňském roce. Takže územní plány těchto měst mohou být připravovány na základě znalostí, které budoucí autoři získali v českém prostředí. Právě proběhlo školení devíti iráckých odborníků, jehož programovou náplň připravil Útvar rozvoje hl. m Prahy.

5.5.2009 — Rada hlavního města Prahy schválila přidělení finančních prostředků v celkové výši 7 115 000 korun na podporu sportovních akcí v roce 2009. Hlavní město Praha na tyto akce přispívá a podporuje je v rámci partnerství při jejich pořádání.

4.9.2006 — Rituálem probuzení draka zahájil dnes odpoledne u Mánesova mostu historicky první mistrovství Evropy dračích lodí náměstek primátora Petr Hulinský. Unikátní akci poskytl záštitu pražský primátor Pavel Bém a hlavní město jako spolupořadatel ji finančně podpořilo. Do Prahy se sjeli „dragoni“ z celé Evropy. O premiérové medaile bude bojovat více než čtyřicet posádek. Celý víkend budou nad Vltavou znít bubny a její hladinu rozčeří desítky pádel.

18.2.2010 — Magistrát hl. m. Prahy a neziskové sdružení subjektů působící v oblasti kongresové turistiky Prague Convention Bureau dnes večer ocení české zástupce v mezinárodních odborných asociacích, které v Praze kongresy organizují. Slavnostní večer proběhne od 19.00 hodin v Rezidenci primátora na Mariánském náměstí za účasti náměstkyně primátora Marie Kousalíkové.

30.4.2020 — One hundred and thirty animals from over forty species have been born in Prague Zoo since it closed on the 13th of March 2020. With other animals still giving birth, including the rare Malayan tapir, zookeepers are wondering when the public will get to see them.

31.1.2020 — Women in Czech lands started working in the postal industry as early as the 16th century. How did it work back then and how did the position of women in the postal industry develop alongside that of men? You can find answers to these questions in the Postal Museum in Prague at an exhibition called 'Women in the Post Office' ('Ženy na poště').

28.11.2022 — Datová platforma Golemio, která pro hlavní město Praha zpracovává velké množství různých dat, vyhrála 1. místo v kategorii projekty měst v soutěži eGovernment The Best 2022. Na 2. místě ve stejné kategorii se navíc umístil projekt Zdravá třída, který v pilotním provozu otestoval technologii pro monitoring hladiny CO2. Oba projekty realizuje pražská městská společnost Operátor ICT (OICT).

16.4.2018 — Od dnešního dne se veřejnost může seznámit s oficiální verzí návrhu Metropolitního plánu, nového územního plánu pro Prahu. Lidé si nyní plán mohou čtvrt roku prohlížet a připravit se na připomínkování. Připomínky k návrhu bude možné zasílat po dobu 30 dnů od 27. června.

Akce navázala na performanci „Pochod dobré vůle,“ který účastníci zahájili na Staroměstském náměstí.

31.7.2019 — For twenty-two years, Prague Botanical Garden held an exhibition that visitors could enjoy with all their senses in its exhibition hall. This year, however, is different. A project that enables the appreciation of various aspects of nature for visitors with special needs is spread throughout the whole area of outdoor expositions. We visited these fourteen stops, where you can explore nature not only by sight, but also by smell, touch and hearing.

29.12.2019 — If you come to the National Museum of Agriculture in Prague before the 1st of August 2020, you will be able to admire a photo exhibition called 'Jindřich Štreit and Cycles'. Jindřich Štreit is a world-renowned Czech photographer and according to him, agriculture is his life theme.

31.1.2019 — The National Museum in Prague has one of the largest paleontological collections in Europe. Now, the collection has expanded with even more specimens. For last year's 200th anniversary, the Museum received a unique gift - a collection of fossils of Tertiary flora and fauna.

15.1.2019 — Until the 24th of February 2019, you can visit an unusual exhibition of audiovisual works by the gifted young artist Roman Štětina in Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace, one of the exceptional Baroque mansions in the Old Town. Roman Štětina has been focused on radio since the beginning of his career. In this exhibition, created in cooperation with fashion designer Mia Jadrná, he highlights the gradual disappearance of audio technology and the hidden art of radio professionals. His main interest lies in what precedes encounters with broadcasted sound - what exists in the "foreword."

13.2.2017 — Prague is the traditional centre of the Czech film industry and a favourite destination for foreign film crews. By founding the Prague Audiovisual Fund, the city wants to actively support the presentation of the City of Prague abroad through film and television productions.

29.1.2019 — Skipark Prague in Vypich, a popular cross-country skiing system with artificial snow, is open to the public from the 25th of January 2019. It is available for free for all cross-country enthusiasts from 8am to 9pm daily, as long as favourable climatic conditions last.

6.1.2019 — The extensive graphic collection Passion and Guilt by the famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso are on exhibit in Museum Kampa until the 15th of January 2019. The works, which were created in the 1930s, are on loan from the renowned Museo Reina Sofía (Queen Sofía Museum) in Madrid, Spain. They can be seen in the Czech Republic for the first time ever. The cycle is a collection of one hundred works that the artist compared to a diary, reflecting on his extraordinary life story.

18.8.2009 — Městská rada dnes definitivně schválila veřejnou zakázku "Mimořádná imageová reklamní kampaň hlavního města Prahy". V předcházející veřejné soutěži už město na základě doporučení odborné komise rozhodlo, že nejlepší návrh na zajištění zakázky zpracovala společnost M.I.P. Group. Ta svůj návrh zpracovala do konkrétního mediaplánu, v zadávacím řízení město její nabídku znovu posoudilo a potvrdilo a nyní rozhodlo, že se společností uzavře smlouvu. Podle ní M.I.P. Group za necelých 45 miliónů korun pro hlavní město zajistí vysílání reklamních spotů a další mezinárodní propagaci, jejímž prostřednictvím se Praha snaží podpořit příjezdovou turistiku v období globální ekonomické krize.

5.2.2013 — Praha dlouhodobě usiluje o posilování svého významného postavení na evropské i světové scéně a o prohloubení mezinárodní spolupráce. Rozvíjí aktivní vztahy s partnerskými městy, zapojuje se do činnosti mezinárodních organizací a asociací samospráv, podílí se na výměně zkušeností a realizaci mezinárodních projektů, usiluje o prestižní ocenění a realizuje řadu dalších aktivit. Prahy ve Výboru regionů), tak na úrovni administrativy a odborných organizací města (informace zpracovaná na podkladě ročenky Praha životní prostředí 2012 a ročenek předešlých s doplněním aktuálních informací).

7.9.2021 — Praha bude rozvíjet inovace ve vzdělávání na základních a středních školách na území hlavního města. Jde například o výuku žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem či speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, podporu odborných škol v oblasti kariérového poradenství, podnikavosti a polytechniky či ředitelskou akademii. Aktivity budou součástí rozsáhlého dvouletého projektu s názvem implementace Krajského akčního plánu II - Inovace ve vzdělávání (iKAP II - Inovace). Právě inovace zamýšlené v projektu iKAP II napřímo podpoří učitele a ředitele škol. Pracuje na nich tým odborníků z Pražského inovačního institutu. Projekt byl schválen Radou hl. města Prahy.

31.10.2019 — The 6th annual Aussie & Kiwi Film Fest introduces lesser-known cinematography from Australia and New Zealand to audiences in Prague. Aussie is an English slang term for Australians, and Kiwi is slang for New Zealanders. The festival takes place from the 1st to the 6th of November in Lucerna, Atlas and Ponrepo cinemas.
